Penelope (ver 5) by Pinback Pinback - Penelope Guitar & Bass Tabbed by: Luke Wait (bear_rides) Email: [email protected] Howdy y'all, i recently decided to do a cover of Penelope in my audio production coarse and after viewing numerous tabs on the net i realised none of them were very accurate. Generally speaking people had the main riff down but the rest of the song was severely lacking - confusing the piccolo bass (bass with light strings that is an octave higher than usual) lines for guitar and vice versa. I also found people were combining the bass during the verse/chorus with the kick drum groove as they have a very similar sound. I haven't bothered to check YouTube to try and match what they're playing live - this sounds extremely close to the album version, which is what you want ;) There are a number of inversions that are just as easy to play but this worked well for me. If you don't have one it still sounds fine and if you really wanted you could use a pitch shifter to move it up an octave.
